Abstract

Nowadays, in the global business environment, telecommunications play a very important role and therefore a spectacular growth of mobile telephony and mobile internet took place in the last two decades worldwide. In this paper we are pointing out the major events that happened in the Romanian telecommunication market in the last 20 years and we are analyzing the evolution of the Romanian telecommunication sector in the same period of time, in comparison to what is happening in this area worldwide.
