Studies on Abamectin Residues in Cabbage

Abstract

Residue study of abamectin in cabbage was carried out following application of CHA 2062 at the standard and double dose 14.4 and 28.8 g a.i./ha. Initial residues of abamectin in cabbage from the two treatments were 0.495 and 0.773 mg/kg, which reached below detectable limit (BDL) on the 3rd day from both the treatments. The residues of abamectin in cabbage dissipated within the half-life period of 5–8 h and the Pre-harvest interval (PHI) or the time taken for abamectin residues in cabbage to reach the permissible limit of 0.01 ppm of 1–2 days. Field soil analysed 10 days after the last treatment was free from abamectin residues.
