During implementation phase, one of the first high priority tasks necessary for innovation to become an integral part of the organization, is to create a vertical and horizontal organizational alignment structure. This structure outlines how each employee can contribute to the vision and mission envisioned. This includes effective change management and control systems to make timely decisions. In this chapter, you will discover how to evaluate your current organizational structure, and choose and design one of four recommended Innovation Structures for your program. The chapter also defines Innovation Team Structure for your innovation program. It includes recommendations for resources, skills, roles and responsibilities.
