Abstract
The population dynamics of Helicoverpa armigera were studied on chick pea (Cicer arietinum), pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan), tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum), sunflower (Helianthus annus) and okra (Abelmoschus esculentus). It was observed that from October onwards, the pest infected chick pea and pigeon pea only and was not traceable on other host plants. After the harvest of chick pea in March, the pest was found infesting sunflower and lowest population in tomato in June. Later on, the pest migrated to okra. Among natural enemies, an Ichneumonid parasitoid, Campoletis chloridae was found to be parasitizing H. armigera larvae.
