Abstract
The experimental materials for the present investigation consisted of ten diverse lines of sweet pepper. Analysis of variance revealed significant differences among the parents and crosses indicating that the materials selected for present investigation were diverse. The magnitudes of phenotypic and genotypic coefficients of variation were moderate to high depicting the ample scope for improvement through selection. The heritability (broad sense) was high (more than 87%) for all the traits except number of locules. Fruit yield per plant exhibited significant positive correlation with days to first flowering, days to first fruit set, number of branches per plant, fruit length, fruit diameter, flesh thickness, average fruit weight, number of fruits per plant and average seed weight per fruit both at genotypic and phenotypic levels.
