Abstract

Abstract Material requirements planning ( MRP ) is a computer‐based set of planning technique that looks at a future requirement for a finished product in terms of a Master Production Schedule and uses this, together with the Bill of Materials, inventory status data, and lead time information, to generate the requirements for all the subassemblies, components, and raw materials that go to make up a finished product.
