Urban development strategies of main settlements in the municipality of Lendava, Slovenia

This graduation paper addresses urban development concepts of settlements Gaberje – Gyertyános, Genterovci – Göntérháza, Hotiza and Petišovci – Petesháza. These settlements are located in the Lendava municipality and besided Lendava - Lendva, they are important as secondary centers on the level of local municipality. In order to enforce their role in the Lendava municipality, we constructed plans for their full renewal. With spatial planning we tried to improve their functional, technical, spatial-design, living, economical, social, cultural and ecological circumstances, as depicted in »Zakon o prostorskem načrtovanju (2007)«. With this in mind we had to comply with the current spatial legislation and the Lendava municipality’s spatial acts. The thesis is based upon the form of the strategic part of municipality’s spatial plan and also includes guidelines for determining spatial implementation conditions from the municipality’s spatial plan. In this sense v defined the outcomes and goals of further settlement development and constructed a strategy for their spatial development. The first part of the paper broadly describes the above mentioned areas and presents opportunities for their further development. The second part is dedicated to strategies of spatial development of individual settlements. It includes guidelines for further settlement development and full settlement renewal, based on which we introduce proposals on how to plan and develop individual settlements. The proposals were also presented graphically in a form of spatial plans, which display basic and detailed use of space in the settlements. Spatial plans were made, based upon the regulations stated in “Pravilnik o vsebini, obliki in načinu priprave občinskega prostorskega načrta ter pogojih za določitev območij sanacij razpršene gradnje in območij za razvoj in širitev naselij (2007)«.
