Strategic significance and realization of the development of Chinese low-carbon economy

To begin with the origin of low-carbon economy, the thesis, aiming at promote sustainable development of Chinese economy, makes an analysis on the strategic significance and realized access and puts forward the possible means to achieve this. By employing documentary method, the thesis analysis the essential differences between Chinese low-carbon economy development and that of western developed countries. Considering the different developing stages and the resource structures of China and developed countries, there are natural differences in the modes of low-carbon economy development. However, the low-carbon economy development is both the internal necessity for sustainable development of Chinese economy and the inevitable demand of transferring of the mode of economic development. Our suggestions include being creative in establishing the policy framework of low-carbon economy development; construct multivariant low-carbon technology system; improve the overall efficiency of resource using and optimize the consumption structure of resources; help shift the industrial structures toward low-carbonization; guide the low-carbon mode of people's consumption; take an active part in international exchange and cooperation.
