Abstract

This paper deals with the observations on the prawn fishery and bionomics of the commercial species \nduring May 1959 to April 1962. The principal landings consisted of Metapenaeus kutchensis and M. brevicornis \nand the fishery for these occurred during the monsoon period (August-October) and winter (November- \nFebruary) respectively.
