Abstract
Summary A method was described for agar immuno-electrophoresis with chicken antisera which separated the step of electrophoresis from that of immunodiffusion. The effect of NaCl concentration on precipitin line formation in the immunodiffusion step was investigated. It was found that 8 to 13% NaCl was needed in the agar gel for maximal precipitin line formation when chicken antibodies to human serum protein antigens were employed.
