Abstract

Looking to the future, the Arizona and Maricopa County Departments of Transportation formed AZTech, a unique partnership of public agencies and private companies, to work together to improve Arizona's regional transportation. Arizona's high-tech approach to transportation solutions attracted national attention. In the process AZTech has worked to build one of the most advanced traffic management systems in the world. AZTech has Bloomed in the Desert and is ready to launch Arizona's transportation technology into the 21st century. New technology, improvements and benefits are now available to make traveling the Valley's freeways and roadways safer and more efficient
