Study on WebGIS and knowledge model based decision support system for disease-pest-weed management in wheat.

Abstract

By analyzing and abstracting the new research data on wheat disease-pest-weed management,further combining with the wheat cultivation management knowledge model and economy information,a wheat disease-pest-weed management model was developed based on the generated rule of disease-pest-weed.Moreover,by using the principle of software engineering with WebGIS as spatial information management platform,combining with MS-SQL Server database technology and Browser/Server network structure,the decision support system of wheat disease-pest-weed management was developed.The system realized the functions of user management,map handling,disease-pest-weed management,intelligent study,pesticide search and system help,etc.Case studies on the system in Jiangsu province indicated system could forecast the harm degree of wheat disease-pest-weed,make the relevant prevention methods based on their factual generated conditions in different zones,and provide a service platform of long-term forecast and decision making counseling for wheat disease-pest-weed management.
