Expression of somatostatin gene in the mammary gland of later lactating rat.

To investigate the expression of somatostatin in the mammary gland of later lactating rats,total RNA was extracted from the mammary gland and mRNA sequence of somatostatin gene was amplified by RT-PCR with designed primers.The PCR products were ligated into the pMD-19T vector,and then transformed into competent cells of JM109.The recombinant plasmid was identified and the sequence was analyzed to detect the somatostatin in the mammary gland of later lactating Sprague-Dawley rats.Identity analysis showed that there was the expression of somatostatin in the mammary gland of later lactating rats.
