Abstract
An activation-chromatographic method for the analysis of mixtures and pure rare earths was developed permitting the determination of individual rare earths with high sensitivity and accuracy of about plus or minus 5-- 10%. A special apparatus was devised and conditions for the chromatographic separation of 0.1--1.0 mg of the sum of oxides were studied. The determination of Tm and Ho admixtures in pure samples of Er has been carried out with the sensitivity of 8 x 10/sup -4/ and 1 x 10/sup -1/% correspondingly, and of Tm in natural mixtures of rare earths with the sensitivity of up to 1 x 10/sup -3/%.
