Abstract
Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy induced diarrhea is not an uncommon clinical problem. If not controlled in time, then weight-loss and other features of malnutrition are unavoidable. Therefore, management of such cases is of utmost importance. Appropriate therapy should be initiated in time to control the intestinal losses in time. A randomized clinical trial was conducted from Jan/1994 to Dec/1998 to find out the efficacy of octreotide versus loperamide in the treatment of Chemotherapy and Radioherapy - induced diarrhea. 125 patients were studied. 63 patients were given octreotide 100 μg, S/C,
