Abstract
Some numerical simulations from real data were carried out to examine the impacts of surface frictionand orographic forcing on the East Asia coastal cyclogenesis.The results show that the decreasing of the surfacefriction over the ocean is essential for the cyclone development and the mechanical forcing of Qinghai-XizangPlateau acts a damping effect in the initial stage of the cyclone.
