Abstract

The results from studying the effect of exogenous organic acids(oxalic acid,citric acid) and EDTA on quality of garlic sprouts planted in soils with different Pb contents showed that the application of exogenous citric acid + oxalic acid,EDTA,exogenous citric acid+ oxalic acid + 1/2 EDTA and exogenous citric acid+ oxalic acid + 1/3 EDTA all can raise its resistance and yield,reduce its Pb content and improve its quality.The exogenous citric acid+ oxalic acid + 1/3 EDTA application pattern has the best effect in all tested application patterns,can significantly reduce Pb content of garlic sprouts and alleviate the negative effect of EDTA on quality of garlic sprouts and can play a positive effect in safe production of garlic sprouts planted in soils with Pb pollution.
