Abstract

This study examines industrial hazardous waste disposal practices and facilities and offers methods for estimating emissions and human exposure from these wastes. The material presented assists in identifying, discussing and evaluating the significance of environmental problems of potential hazardous/toxic emission from waste disposal. It is concluded that disposal of wastes containing potentially hazardous constituents on land can pose the greatest potential for significant air emission exposure to the public.
