Abstract
By using 7 early lactating heifers changes of teat length, teat diameter, teat end thickness, temperature of teat end and teat base after calf suckling, hand milking and machine milking were investigated. From the teat tissue reactions established it is concluded that machine milking causes a higher new infection risk than calf suckling and hand milking
