Abstract
The article describes essential steps taken in a major publicly owned electric utility system's development of new load control programs. It touches in particular upon the methodology developed for use in conducting cost-benefit analyses of different available load control technologies, culminating in a recommendation for the shared use of cable television systems for energy management projects.
