Abstract
The entrainment losses of kerosene in the barren raffinate, in the course of the solvent extraction of uranium from, a leach liquor, have been determined by the addition of C14- labelled decane to the circuit. The toluene extract of the raffinate was made the main constituent of a liquid scintillator in which the carbon activity was measured by means of a single channel beta-ray spectrometer. An average value of 33 ppm kerosene was found in the raffinate.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
