Abstract

Crafts and gears employed in the fishery and the \nsystem of collection of data at different centres along \nthe west and east coasts in the mainland of India and \nfrom Minicoy Is. were dealt with earlier. In the manner \ndescribed, the following informations were collected : \n— Numbers landed by fishing gear ; \n— Estimated total tunas landed by weight by fishing gear; \n— Estimated weight of sampled landings ; \n— Species composition of sampled landings, and \n— length and weight of tunas in sampled landings
