Abstract

An approximate analytical representation of the ratio between the Schiff spectrum widely used when studying photonuclear reactions earlier and the newly recognized Seltzer and Berger spectrum is proposed for bremsstrahlung of electrons. Based on this representation, the differences observed in the parameters of E 1 giant resonance when processing experimental data with these two spectra are analyzed, depending on the shape of the structures in the cross sections of investigated reactions and the type of beam monitoring.
