Abstract

A potted experiment under the condition of greenhouse was conducted to research the influence of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi,Glomus versiforme(Karsten) Berch,on mineral nutrition in roots of tangerine(Citrus tangerine Hort. ex Tanaka) exposed to well-watered and water stress. Water stress significantly decreased the arbuscular mycorrhizal inoculation. Whether water stressed or not, mycorrhizal infection did not affect the Fe content of roots, but markedly increased the P,Ca,Mg,Cu and Mn contents of roots. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal colonization enhanced both the N content of water-stressed roots and the K content of well-watered roots. Effect of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal treatment on Zn of roots was variational, accompanying with water status of soil.
