Data for first NASA Atmospheric Variability Experiment (AVE 1). Part 2: Graphical presentation of data

Thls report presents a graphical r e p r e s e n t a t i o n of data f o r NASA's f i r s t Atmospheric V a r i a b i l i t y Experiment (AVE I ) conducted during t h e period February 19-22, 1964.Graphical representation i s i n t h e form of svnoptic c h a r t s and time c r o s s section.Data taken on the AVE T. p r o j e c t i n 1964 enabled an a n a l y s i s of a l a r g e s e c t o r of t h e e a s t e r n United S t a t e s on a f i n e r e s o l u t i o n time s c a l e .This experiment was run i n February 1964, and data were c o l l e c t e d as a wave developed i n t h e East Gulf on a f r o n t a l system which extended through t h e e a s t e r n p a r t of t h e United S t a t e s .The primary objective ~f AVP I was t o i n v e s t i g a t e t h e v a r i a b i l i t y of parameters i n space and over time i n t e r v a l s of t h r e e hours, and t o i n t e g r a t e t h e r e s u l t s i n t o NASA programs which require t h i s type of information.The r e s u l t s presented i n t h i s r e p o r t a r e those from one approach, and represent only a p o r t i o n of t h e t o t a l research e f f o r t t h a t caL be accomplished.This r e p o r t c o n s i s t s of two p a r t s : P a r t I -Dat?Tabulation and P a r t I1 -Graphical Presentation of Data. 7.
