Abstract
Conserved quantities are powerful tools in physics, both conceptually and for calculations. The conceptual power of conserved quantities such as momentum and energy is evident from their acceptance into everyday speech. Equations expressing conservation abound in elementary physics courses because they allow one to make informative calculations without using the techniques of calculus. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
