Abstract
This paper discusses the need for extending the functionality of interactive multimedia kiosks to wireless mobile devices. We present Kiosk Engine, our implementation of a framework for creating and presenting interactive multimedia kiosks. Kiosk Engine is implemented in Java and it can be used to present the kiosk content on both a stationary kiosk and a mobile wireless device. We conclude the paper by demonstrating Kiosk Engine’s capabilities using a Nokia simulator. 1.
