Abstract
A publicity campaign was mounted to show the parents of children from 4 to 12 years old the possibilities of making the journey from home to school and from school to home safer. An urgent appeal is made to car drivers to be alert to the impulsive behaviour of children in traffic. Traffic education in schools is stressed. Structural measures and provisions for safer routes to school are mentioned. (TRRL)
