Abstract

The processes in the production of x-ray bremsstrahlung at the internal anticathode of the Wurzburger 35-Mev betatron can be extensively clarified by various experimental and theoretical research methods. By the use of simple thin and thick anticathodes forced conditions are present in the electron motion that prevent a homogeneous penetration of the anticathodes by the accelerated electron. It was shown that by utilization of complicated anticathodes for the production of x-ray bremsstrahlung definite conditions could be created. A simple method was described with which conclusions on the type and number of multiple passages of electrons through anticathodes could be obtained from the haif-value width of the angular distribution of the x-ray bremsstrahlung.
