Abstract

[Objective] To study the association of SNPs in regular region of β2-adrenergic receptor gene with essential hypertension of the Han population in Henan Province.[Methods] The samples including 96 patients with hypertension and 196 normal persons were collected from the Han population.Genotypes of 46 and 79 sites of β2-AR were determined by PCRRFLP method.[Results] The frequencies of the two SNPs were accord with the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium in the population. The locus 79 of Beta2-adrenergic receptor gene had no gene polymorphism. No significant difference was observed in the distribution of genotypes of the SNP at locus 46 between the two groups(P﹥0.05).But for the female group, the distribution of genotypes AA,AG,GG of the SNP at locus 46 in hypertension group was significantly different from that in control group(P﹤ 0.05).[Conclusion] These results indicate that the locus 46 of Beta2-adrenergic receptor gene may be associated with essential hypertension of the female group.
