Abstract
Brief details are given of the geometric characteristics, technical characteristics of the foundations, piers and decks and of the equipment used and construction time. This is a curved bridge with a 650 M radius, 250 M long between two 211 M clothoids. The deck consists of a continuous tubular girder made of prestressed concrete; it is cantilevered from the river sides and consists of 5 spans. The beam is supported on six bearings. The footings of the piers are resting on piles going down to the level of the coarse limestone. The terrain over which the structure is erected consists of: (1) at the surface, mainly seine alluvial soil, old and new, over a thickness of 2 to 10 M; (2) Beauchamp sand approximately 7 to 14 M thick; (3) marl and gravelly marl approximately 14 to 20 M thick; (4) lastly coarse limestone. (TRRL)
