Determination of PO4-P in tannery effluent by reverse flow injection

Abstract

Reverse reference flow injection analysis (rFIA) was proposed to determine PO 4 -P in tannery effluent combined with phosphorus antimony molybdenum blue photometry (deoxidized reagent is L-ascorbic acid). The result showed that, under the optimal conditions, good linear work curve with high sensitivity and broad linear range was obtained with this method to determine P0 4 -P. The linear ranges were 6 x 10 -4 -6 x 10 -2 and 6 x 10 -2 -5mg/l, the detection limit of this method was 0.18μg/l, and relative standard deviation (RSD) of 3.03% (n = 11) was obtained by injecting a standard solution with 10μg/l PO 4 -P. This method was used to analyze the PO 4 -P in tannery effluent with recovery ranging from 96.0% to 97.8%.
