Abstract
The free precession of white dwarf stars has been investigated and the increase of the free precession period due to elastic properties of the star matter computed. For these white dwarf models the ratio Δ between Chandler and Euler period turned out to lie between 8 and 21, depending upon central density of the white dwarf (4.9 10 5 g cm -3 to 1.15 10 9 g cm -3 )
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
