We review the recently developed bipartite composite fermion model for the excitations of the so-called Pfaffian state, a promising model for the fractional quantum Hall effect at the Landau level filling factor ν = 5/2.In particular, we demonstrate a necessary ingredient of the non-Abelian braid statistics, namely the degeneracy of spatially indistinguishable configurations of widely separated quasiparticles.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
