Abstract
The paper has made a comprehensive analysis of Chinese urban residents' food consumption with the methods of statistical and quantitative analyses,and has predicted the demand for food consumption and the future population of Chinese urban residents.Consequently,the paper puts forward the long-term safety measures of the food consumption to protect the different income groups of urban residents by protecting arable land for growing grains,strengthening invest ment for food producing,raising food prices and establishing the basic living security system for urban low-income groups.
