Abstract

The main objectives of this study were to discuss existing and planned Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) and Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS) systems; explore the marketing techniques being employed by the implementing transportation agency; and from this research, develop specific recommendations for the future implementation of ATMS and ATIS systems.
