Abstract

Wind-tunnel studies of an aeroelastically and dynamically scaled model of multijet cargo airplane have been conducted to measure aileron-control characteristics at Mach numbers up to 0.93.A successful technique has been demonstrated for determining the aileron effectiveness, reversal boundary, and flight roll rates below the reversal boundary based on measured values of damping in roll.17.
