Abstract
The reasons for the low share of the Australian market of the diesel passenger car are reviewed. The introduction of direct injection combustion systems, the benefits of low heat loss engine designs, and the emissions performance of current and future engines are discussed. The future market share of the diesel passenger car is seen as being mainly dependent on rising fuel prices, and the ability of the manufacturer to contain costs while introducing new designs with improved fuel efficiency (a).
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
