Concentrations of r a d i a t i n g molecules and r a d i a t i o n from a number o f band systems a r e presented f o r equilibrium shock-layer temperatures and dens i t i e s of vehicles entering proposed Martian and Venusian atmospheres.The atmospheres s e l e c t e d c o n s i s t of various proportions of C02, N 2 , and A. Charts a r e a l s o presented which r e l a t e t h e s e equilibrium shock-layer properties t o f l i g h t v e l o c i t y and anibient d e n s i t y through t h e normal shock conservation equations.These d a t a can be used t o estimate stagnation-point r a d i a t i v e heat t r a n s f e r f o r e n t r y t r a j e c t o r i e s .Estimates f o r a few s e l e c t e d f l i g h t condit i o n s a r e discussed and compared.
