Abstract
The various aspects of the technology associated with the production of nuclear power are described with a view toward providing groups and institutions involved in nuclear planning and policy making a comprehensive resource for decision-making. Chapters are included on radiation effects, the behavior of radioactivity in the environment, uranium mining, reactor operations, waste disposal, and decommissioning.
