Abstract

The susceptibility of Sogatella furcifera populations collected from different areas of Guangxi to four insecticides were monitored by rice-stem dipping method. The result showed that different populations of Sogatella furcifera had the highest susceptibility to thiamethoxam for which the LC50 ranged from 0.0526 to 0.3161mg a.i./L. Different populations had higher susceptibility to imidacloprid for which the LC50 ranged from 0.0932 to 0.7646 mg a.i./L. However, they had lower susceptibility to buprofezin and fipronil (LC50 ranged from 0.1951 to 2.7259 mg a.i/L). Further, different populations of Sogatella furcifera had significant difference in susceptibility to same insecticide, and the difference in susceptibilities of six populations to fipronil and imidacloprid were over 8 times, and that to buprofezin and thiamethoxam were over 5-6 times.
