Abstract

First installment in the series devoted to the Marine Pipelay and Recovery describes a computer program, developed at the Engineering Technology Analysis, Inc. of Houston, Tex, whose input includes the pipeline geometry and mechanical problems such as barge tension, water depth, wave height, and current speed. Computer output gives resultant pipeline coordinates, forces, moments, stresses, strains, and curvature at any prescribed point.
