Abstract
Objectives : The purpose of this research is to verify antibiotic effccts of Cheongsangbangpungtang on Proteus sp. Antimicrobial activities were assayed through the hot water extracts from Cheongsangbangpungtang. The author screened and isolated a Proteus sp. from acne vulgaris patients. Methods: This study measured an antimicrobial activities of Cheongsangbangpungtang through agar diffusion method and verified MlC on Proteus sp. This study also investigated optimization of pH and temperature through growth curve of Proteus sp. cultivated and examined stabilities of Cheongsangbangpungtang on temperature and pH. Results: The optimum pH and temperature for the growth of the organism were in the range 7.0 and , respectively Bangpung that is more than size l0mm of inhibition zone among Cheongsangbangpungtang composition drugstuffs. Cheongsangbangpurngtang showed inhibition zone of 9.54mm Minimal Inhibitory Concentrations(MIC) of Cheongsangbangpungtang composition drugstuffs extract is . Conclusion: Antimicrobial activity of the Cheongsangbangpungtang extract was not destroyed by the heating at for 15min and not affected by pH. The water extract of Cheongsangbangpungtang composition drugstuffs was found to have a strong inhibition activity on the growth of Proteus sp.
