Abstract

For the purpose of determining the prioritization of research activities, the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) initiated an innovative study to determine the risk significance of NRC research related to equipment qualification. This study is part of an overall effort by the agency to determine the priority of research, based on importance to plant risk. The findings and recommendations of the study are presented in this paper.
