Abstract

This paper describes how traveling by air has become second nature to many of us, and rightly so. It is considered to be the safest, most comfortable means of transportation available. However, taking it for granted can cause some problems for people with special needs, as there are times when passengers feel the airline should be able to meet those needs without advanced warning. The paper outlines some areas where passengers can help the airline help themselves. When making reservations, passengers should make the airline or travel agent aware of any special needs.
