Abstract

Induction heating is a widespread industrial technique and a subject of scientific research. The application fields of induction heating increase due to development of modern industrial technologies and advantages of the induction heating process. The development of traditional induction heating system applications for melting or through heating is mainly to increase power or production rates or to decrease energy consumption. Other development like in induction hardening, induction treatment or electromagnetic processing allows the use of induction heating for production of new materials or materials with higher quality. For all new approaches a deep analysis of the induction heating system is necessary to achieve the desired development target.
