Abstract
In this paper, linearly variable Rankine sources are distributed on the panels of a ship body surface which is discrete by means of a parabolic curve plane. The uniform Rankine sources are arranged on the bank and the local free surface around the ship hull, the local free surface is divided using a body-fitted grid, the vortex filaments whose strength is the step function in depth direction are arranged in the longitudinal centre plan of the hull. The hydrodynamic forces acting on the ship hull moving parallel to the banks are calculated. Emphasis is made on the study of the effect of free surface and bank on the ship hydrodynamic forces in restricted water.
