A Suggestion for Design Process Improvement to Develop a Design Management Model

Abstract

As management is becoming a focus of a construction industry, conprehensive construction management is needed. Thus a plan of improving a design work process for developing design work capacity is proposed. The plan of improving a design work process based on a information flow for decision makings is expected to be a good ground material of not only smooth communication among stakeholders and information tracing, but also effective management of whole process. Theplansuggestedinthisstudyissummarizedas: (1) Detailed and clear work definition (2) information-oriented work definition (3) Strengthening works related to design management
