The World Bank Group newsletter in Madagascar (1)

This World Bank Newsletter in Madagascar is the first tool of communication that allows the newsletter to give every two months an overview of its activities. It is also engaged in a process of identification of the major constraints to development of this country and to see how to optimize the partnership with Madagascar. In this framework, a portfolio review will be performed at the end of March with the Government of Madagascar. The aim of this exercise will be to explore ways to maximize the impact of programs funded by the World Bank in Madagascar. Among the topics that will be analyzed will include how the manner of work is implemented, and the support the newsletter will bring to this implementation. This analytical process involves a series of interviews with various administration officials, and will address various themes, particularly the sustainability results; the interaction between the World Bank; Ministries and project management units; improving monitoring and evaluation; and implementation of mechanisms of social accountability.
