Abstract
This research studied the requirement of cathodic protection installation to prevent corrosion on ship in seawater medium, have compared which is often used between Alumunium Cathodic Protection by Zinc Cathodic Protection. KM. ADRI XLIV used as speciment. The comparison results, aluminium sacrificial anodes on KM. ADRI XLIV in field is 108 Kg, higher than result of calculation about 61.58 Kg. So the amount of attached by aluminium sacrificial anodes on KM. ADRI XLIV in field have get safety factor. As comparison the calculation result of Zinc Cathodic Protection requirement, obtained zinc sacrificial anodes weight is 175.59 Kg, higher than aluminium sacrificial anodes. Keywords : Aluminium Cathodic Protection, Zinc Cathodic Protection.
